"Thumbs Up"! Letter to Editor of Choice Consumers Magazine, Jane MacKenzie Dear Jane, This is to tell you about a Thumbs Up! experience with Milner's Pty Ltd. This WA company (5-7 Glassford Road, Kewdale 6105) represents Tanita Corporation in Australia. Tanita manufactures body fat monitor scales in Japan. About 3 years ago my wife Pam (subscriber to Choice # 25723 CH 410) purchased a Tanita bathroom scale (Model BF-679) from David Jones at Carindale, Brisbane. In January this year the scale malfunctioned. Contact details were on the back of the scale so I phoned Milner's Pty Ltd and spoke to a Wendy Harris. She asked me to post the scale (reply paid) over to WA for checking. I explained we could not find the purchase docket. Furthermore Wendy said the serial number indicated the scale had just passed its 3 year warranty period. Within a few days we were told it was not repairable. But the good news was they would replace the scale at no cost to us. The new scale arrived the following week. In this day and age I think it's noteworthy to pass on to Choice what an excellent consumer experience we received from Milner's Pty Ltd, through their representative Wendy Harris. I appreciate that this was out of your scope of keeping customers happy as it seemed the product had run its course but I think it's just great and I will be telling everyone to buy your product as your customer care is so unexpectedly amazing. Our way of measuring people every 3 weeks is on our BC 545 scales - we measure kilo's. body fat, body mass, visceral fat, physique rating, and metabolic age, over our last two challenges we have had over 50 people use those scales every 3 weeks and people either love them or hate them - most love as they can see the great results they are getting.
